Introduction

Vidya Bharati Uchcha Shiksha Sansthan is a socio-educational organisation established to realise the aspiration of quality implementation of policies in education and to achieve a systemic change, particularly in the higher education of our nation. The Sansthan aspires for a paradigm shift in higher education which, apart from other quality initiatives, involves Bharatiya Gyan Parampara, Bharatiya philosophy and Bharatiya life values. It works to develop a Bharat-centric ecosystem in education by establishing contact, dialogue and coordination with institutions and all other stakeholders. Thus, Vidya Bharati Uchcha Shiksha Sansthan strives to create centres of excellence in higher education marked by a combination of ancient and modern, traditional and non-conventional, and oriental and occidental knowledge.

Vidya Bharati Uchcha Shiksha Sansthan (VBUSS) is a voluntary organisation working in education, with a particular focus on policy implementation and structural reforms in higher education. Rooted in Bharatiya knowledge tradition, philosophy and practices, and led by eminent educationists and scholars, the institution serves as a transformative force. The Sansthan actively fosters a Bharat-centric qualitative campus ecosystem through continuous dialogue, discourses and coordination among stakeholders of higher educational institutions.

Vision

To create and develop a competent, efficient, resolute and perseverant generation of good character, full of patriotism and social service and possessing global vision. This new generation will be committed to developing a harmonious, prosperous, well-cultured and accomplished society. They will augment the process of nation building, excel in creativity and develop life-vision, thinking skills, social skills, scientific temper, creative aptitude and efficiency imbibed with behavioural skills of contemporary relevance. Such youths trained in the tradition of Bharatiya educational philosophy and life-values shall lay the foundation of a strong and prosperous nation.

Mission

To establish a continuous and intensive rapport and dialogue with higher educational institutes run by the Government as well as societies and trusts, and to cooperate with them in their endeavour to develop all the capabilities of the stakeholders. To develop teaching and learning materials with an eternal and holistic approach, to conduct research projects related to it, to build up and develop experts, professors and trainers in different courses, and to develop multi-faceted programmes for students, teachers and management.

To work with earnestness to achieve a quality-based higher education system together with all government and non-government institutions working in the sphere.
To lay emphasis on innovation and the use of technology corresponding to the needs and demands of the 21st century.
To support and protect the self-governance of institutions and to strengthen the autonomy and the feeling of responsibility in the field of higher education, as Vidya Bharati has stood for it since its inception.
To constitute ‘Institution-clusters’ (Shaikshik Samooh) to evolve resource-rich and reputed institutions which shall be relatively organised. Such clusters of institutions shall inter-se collaborate based on reciprocity. Such centres will determine some activities and programmes collectively.
To establish rapport, interaction and coordination with all such institutions of the institution-cluster (Shaikshik Samooh) to create and develop a collaborative, positive and creative environment.
To coordinate with Vidya Bharati institutions and its associated educational units to create a holistic impact and efficacy of education in society.
To evolve and strengthen family feeling (Parivar Bhav) among such educational institutions for weaving a cooperative thread with each other to achieve quality education.
To inspire and orient Vidya Bharati institutions and its associated educational organisations for bearing social responsibility and to establish quality, transparency, credibility and authenticity in the field of higher education.
To create an atmosphere of motivation to develop specific and gifted talent in these institutions and to encourage them for collaborative research works and educational initiatives.
To inculcate and develop the skills and efficiency of management in higher educational institutions.
To cooperate for creating a developed and knowledge-based society.
To generate and develop facilities/infrastructure for e-learning and distance learning.
To implement the programme ‘earn while you learn’ in educational institutions.
To reorient the focus of higher educational institutions on value education.
