Frequently Asked Questions

Registration, examination day and results

Eligibility

Who can appear for the examination?
Undergraduate and postgraduate students of any stream, registered through their institution.

Examination Day

Will admit cards be issued?
No admit card will be issued through the website or by email. The examination is conducted like an internal college examination — simple and without extra paperwork.
How do students enter the examination hall?
The institution admits its registered students after checking a photo identity document, in the same way as a college examination. The student's name must appear in the registered students list (Excel data sheet). Identity verification is compulsory before a candidate may sit the paper.
Which identity documents are accepted on examination day?
Any one of the following is accepted: student identity card, Aadhaar card, driving licence, or any other valid photo identity document. Candidates are allowed to sit the paper only after identity verification.
What should be written in the Unique ID column?
The institution has full freedom to decide the Unique ID. Any identification system may be used, provided each student can be recognised clearly after the examination. Examples from the registered Excel sheet include institution name + state + PIN code, or institution name + state + student serial number. The same Excel data can also be used to prepare an attendance sheet, with the student's signature against their details. The institution may adopt any other format that is convenient. The Unique ID is only to make identification easier after the examination.
How should students fill the OMR sheet?
The OMR sheet is attached to the question paper. It is not a traditional OMR sheet. Students must write the question number and clearly mark the correct answer in the table provided.
How should answer sheets be submitted?
After the examination, separate the OMR sheet and the descriptive answer sheet from the remaining question booklet. Staple those two sheets together and hand them to the invigilator. Candidates may take the remaining question booklet with them.
What should institutions do after the examination?
After the examination, institutions should contact their State Coordinator for further instructions.

Institute

How many students must an institute register?
A minimum of 200 examinees is required for an institution to host an examination centre.

Mock Test

Can the mock test on this website replace the actual registration?
No. The mock test is practice only. Registration for the national examination is completed on the official portal.

Registration

How does a student register?
Students register through their institution on the official Bharat BoudhIKS portal. Credentials are emailed after the institution completes payment.
What documents are required?
A valid photo identity document — college ID, driving licence or a government ID — along with an email address and mobile number.

Result

When is the result declared?
Within twenty days of the examination. Results are published online and sent by email. Check with roll number and date of birth.
